Commission Process

Thank you for considering Lady Spartan Customs for your commissionproject! Every commission is handcrafted and built specifically for you, so we want the process to be clear from the very beginning.

Commission Inquiry

To begin the commission process, please send us an email using Contact Us with the subject line “Commission Inquiry.”

In your message, include a brief description of the custom you'd like to have created, along with any reference photos, inspiration images, or special requests. The more information you provide, the more accurately we can quote and plan your project.

Before work begins, we will discuss your ideas, answer any questions, and establish the overall direction of the project so we share the same vision for your custom.

Lead Time

Our standard turnaround time is approximately five weeks from the time your commission is approved and the required deposit is received.

While many commissions are completed well before the five-week mark, we use that timeframe as a buffer to ensure we have the time needed to source parts, complete the build to our standards, and deliver the best possible custom without rushing the process.

Some projects require specialty items such as custom heads, weapons, body parts, or other accessories that must be sourced from third-party vendors. If those items are needed, the completion date may be extended. We will communicate any anticipated delays as early as possible, but shipping and delivery times from outside vendors are beyond our control.

Payment Policy

A 60% non-refundable deposit of the quoted commission price is required before work begins on any custom commission. Once your commission quote is finalized, an invoice for the deposit will be issued through the Lady Spartan Customs website.

Because every commission is individually designed and built, pricing varies by project based on the character, parts, materials, complexity, and work required. You will receive your individual commission quote before any work begins.

The remaining 40% balance is due once your custom is completed and before it is shipped. An invoice for the remaining balance will be issued through the Lady Spartan Customs website once your commission is complete.

Shipping is NOT included in the quoted commission price. Shipping charges will be calculated at checkout when the remaining balance is paid.

Because every commission is a one-of-a-kind artistic creation, the design and creative direction are established through discussions before work begins. Customers are encouraged to share reference photos, ideas, and preferences during the planning stage so we have a clear understanding of the project.

Once your custom is completed, you will receive photographs of the finished project as notification that your commission is complete and ready for final payment and shipment. These photographs are provided as completion notification only and are not an approval stage or an opportunity to cancel the project based on artistic interpretation.

Cancellations

The initial 60% deposit is non-refundable. Once work has begun, materials have been purchased and time has been invested into creating your custom.

By submitting your deposit, you acknowledge that you are commissioning an original handcrafted work of art from Lady Spartan Customs. While every effort is made to incorporate the ideas discussed during the planning process, each custom is ultimately an artistic interpretation and will reflect the style and craftsmanship of the artist.

If a customer chooses to cancel the commission or does not submit the remaining balance after being notified that the project is complete, Lady Spartan Customs will retain both the completed custom and the non-refundable deposit. In these situations, we reserve the right to offer the completed custom for sale to another collector.
